One Sleep Till Christmas

Only one more sleep till Christmas! Time to get wrapping presents and baking goodies!

Wednesday, December 16, 2009

I have been working hard lately getting things sorted before Christmas - so much to post and so little time! The latest project I have been working on is design and imagery for the band LATE 8OS MERCEDES (my husband just so happens to be the bass player :) ). They will release their Live EP at the end of January so if you have never hear them before be sure to check out their website. Recently they were mentioned by Pete Wentz from Fall Out Boy for their cover of 'This Aint A Scene'. Have a listen here..

Screen Printing

Ive been a bit slow to post these on here but a few weeks back I was having a screen printing frenzy! This was the first 2 colour image I made of Captain Cook from a series of illustrations about Explorers. I will be selling some of these prints at The Illustrationeers Stall this coming week. More to come...

The Illustrationeers End of Year ShowDown!

I have been busy helping to organise an Illustration Stall for the Mediarts End of Year Show which starts next week! Come on down if your in the neighbourhood.

My friend Wendy helped me out with the invitation. Her character is the pioneer wielding the gun, mine is the captain wielding the telescope - guess who's going to win! :)

Home Sweet Home

Lately I have been looking through my photographs which I keep in boxes and biscuit tins. They seem a bit lonely sitting with no one to view them so Ive decided to post some of them here. More to come...

I decided to post some of my sketches. Once I finish a sketchbook I start to forget what I have drawn, so by posting it Im hoping it will help me remember. :)

I have always really admired the drawings of Lauren Nassef. I would love to be disciplined enough to do a drawing a day. She now sells her work too which is awesome!

Crown Lyn

I discovered these cute teacups at the beach house the other weekend. I love their colours and simple designs. Im a little mad on tea cups and seem to have collected a fair few! (Ill post my collection some other time). They dont make Crown Lyn pottery in NZ anymore but i wish they did!
